“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We rented Esplanade Residence as a family of 4 couples and it worked really well with the three double bedrooms. The property itself is located a really short walk into the town centre (it's right next to Rydges Hotel) with the lounge and master suite overlooking the lake, it really couldn't be more perfect. The property is obviously very new, beautifully decorated, really clean and kitted out with everything you need - Smeg kitchen appliances, a flat screen tv with surround sound, dvd player, dvd's, washer/dryer, hairdryer. It really is as beautiful as the photographs! The beds are super comfy too! Great Value for money and highly recommended!

Room Tip: The master suite is amazing but the other two rooms are great too!

“Fabulous Accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

This is a fantastic apartment close to the city centure - beautifully furnished, great fireplace and the most comfortable beds. Luxury and comfort with a lovely view of the lake. Will definately stay there again. They even accommodated our luggage before we could check in and the day we needed to check out which gave us another day in Queenstown with no luggage. The service was brilliant.

“Great location and excellent property in Queenstown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

We rented a 3 bedroom apartment at The Esplanade in Queenstown for 6 adults. It was wonderfully comfortable with 2 doubles and s 2 single beds (3 bedrooms) and has two bathrooms. The living area is homely, modern and comfortable and the kitchen was so well equipped, we were truly impressed. The location is fabulous with a 5 minute walk into the city and the views of the lake magificent.
I will definiltey stay there again.

“Great location, quality fittings, very clean!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

We stayed for three nights at Esplanade Queenstown and found it to be exceptional. We'll definitely be returning the next time that we're in Queenstown.

The villa (ours was villa 1, on the end further from town) was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything that we needed to cook while we were there. And unlike most apartments and villas that are run in a hotel style, the fittings in the villa - from the sofas to the dining room table to the television/sound system - are high quality.

The villa has a patio at the front where we ate breakfast outside every day. At the rear there is both a parking spot and a single garage with every villa. It was late spring when we stayed so we didn't require heating, but both bathrooms do have underfloor heating, plus there are heaters both upstairs and downstairs.

The master bedroom has double sliding glass doors that open to a balcony that overlooks the lake and a park with a playground for kids. The playground was handy for us because we were traveling with a 2-year old. We also pre-booked a cot (pack and play) for our son and it was setup on arrival complete with sheets and a nice blanket.

The external doors both have numbered keypads and the code is provided before you arrive. That worked out perfectly for us because we could just pull up and walk in anytime after check-in time. I much prefer that to having to collect a key somewhere or arrange to meet someone.

I've stayed in the Heritage Villas just up the hill from the Esplanade Queenstown. They are built in an almost identical fashion, but the Esplanade Queenstown beats them in terms of noise insulation. At the Heritage Villas, we could easily hear our neighbours and were awoken by the sounds of doors closing. Not so at the Esplanade; the construction appears to be much better. We couldn't hear any noise apart from a light sound from passing traffic in the master bedroom, but the street is virtually empty after 10pm.

We didn't require any assistance during our stay so I can't comment on that but there was a compendium in the villa with information on a number to call should you have any problems.

I did purchase wifi during my stay and the speed and price were fine (NZ$25 for 3 days) except that it was slow on Saturday night.

Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be returning on our next visit.

“This is a definite rebook”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

Fabulous unit with everything we required. Location is great (no hill climbing), this is a very well presented property and we will definitely rebook for next year. We had no need to phone for any service requirements so can't comment on that part.
