This review is only for a studio apartment. We have stayed in multiple apartment hotels in different cities during out stay in New Zealand. We wanted a hotel location along Lake Wakatipu and chose this establishment because of the ratings. However, we were disappointed with the size of the studio apartment we stayed in. We stayed in hotels rooms (not classified as apartment) larger than the one we were given. It was equipped with a small kitchenette and managed to squeeze in a computer desk (which doubled as our dining table). The bathroom was upgraded and one of the better ones we've seen. There's a shared laundry facility & hallway we had to share with one other apartment (we had no conflicting issues on that note). We did like the double security - entering by key through the shared door and our own. The covered parking on the ground floor was designated for the apartment. Note: there are many stairs to walk to get to the building. We found it inconvenient when bringing luggage to our room. The luggage ramp is too steep and not useful when icy. The room accommodation was not worth the price. If we choose to stay at this establishment in he future, we will consider at least a 1-bedroom or larger (if the price is fair).

A visit to Queenstown wouldnt be complete without staying here in this immaculate apartment with a view that is second to none as well as being within walking distance to town with such helpful staff. I'll be back welldone

Visited recently for 4 nights and stayed somewhere new. They were very welcoming and the apartment that we upgraded to from a studio was great. They priced the upgrade very reasonably and it certainly made for a much more pleasent stay.

Our last night of a two week holiday in New Zealand was spent in Pounamu Apartments. This should have been a relaxing end to a wonderful holiday but it felt like an episode of Faulty Towers. The check in process required 3 trips back to the apartments before we were finally allowed into our room (2 hours after the stated check in time). What made it worse is that the staff treated us like they were doing us a favor and took no responsibility for the delays or bothered to apologise for the inconvenience. They kept telling us we could go enjoy a coffee in town on each attempt to check in. We were not allowed to leave our bags in the room as they said it was not serviced yet and the bags would get in the way of the cleaners, but when we were finally allowed in the room had obviously not been used for some time with appliances all turned off, including the fridge which had clearly not been used for some time. The manager was disorganized and rude. There are plenty of well run, clean, attractive apartments to stay at in Queenstown, so I would not stay there again and put myself through the pain of dealing with the staff there again!,
