Big two bedroom unit. Plenty of room for my two young children to run around. Kitchen was well-equipped. Free and fast WIFI was great. Nice comfortable lounge area. Free laundry. I cannot stress how clean the bathroom was. Great location, a comfortable short walk to town. Host was very helpful in telling us the popular sights in Dunedin. Would definitely return again.

The motel sits on a corner plot about an easy 10 minute walk to the centre with a slightly longer walk to the station. The motel was fully booked for two of the nights we stayed and every car parking space was filled.

We were given an upstairs room which was a one bedroom apartment. The main room was large with a fully equipped kitchen, sofa and table with chairs. The apartment was clean and everything worked OK.

The large bathroom had a shower over the bath and modern fittings. We were also offered free WiFi.

Jeff and the staff were great, and we would stay there again.

We stayed at Allan Court Motel for three nights. The room was extremely clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the museum (and the wonderful butterfly garden) and an easy and interesting walk into town. Overall, a great place to stay.

The only criticism we could make was that the windows didn't open very far so it was hard to ventilate the room which became very warm and stuffy in the late afternoon sun. We found that we had to sleep with the windows open which meant that we were disturbed a bit by the road noise and a few drunk students making their way home late at night (we're from Christchurch so it's possible we're a bit more aware of things going on around us since the earthquakes). In saying that we did notice a pedestal fan in the cupboard but we didn't find it so bad that we bothered to get it out.

Fantastic well-equipped motel. We had a large suite with bedroom and spacious lounge/kitchenette complete with french press coffee maker, tvs in both rooms which we appreciated as Japanese earthquake happened while we were there. Management friendly & helpful. Rooms clean and also accessible for those who need that. Lots of student type reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Table for eating take out was handy. We walked from bus station, no problem if you have wheels on your luggage. Nice and quiet for a restful sleep. We took a wildlife tour and they picked us up right at at the motel.
