Best motel I've stayed in. Host chris is very helpful and friendly even though we interrupted his dinner... Our room was very clean and comfortable and very well appointed (and quiet). Open the cupboards in the kitchen to find all manner of appliances - electric frying pan, mini oven/microwave, etc. Full marks for providing fresh milk instead of those revolting plastic pots. Well situated. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and will return.

We chose to stay here as it was close to where friends live and also within walking distance for collecting our motorcycle rental. The room was comfortable and the owners were exceptionally helpful. We had advice from Chris on cafés and restaurants, he organised taxis and the train shuttle bus for us. While we were away on our motorcycle trip he kept our bags and helpfully had them waiting for us back in the same room on our return! There are laundry facilities and Christine kindly hung out our washing as we were out when the washing machine finished!
There are plenty places of interest to visit in Christchurch and we spent an enjoyable Sunday afternoon in the sunshine along at the river and then a delicious kebab afterwards at the Cashel Street mall. Definitely a good place to stay!

the owner/managers were very helpful and accomodating. The location is great with lots of restos n stores nearby. Not far from train station and served by a free shuttle. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Can't say enough good about it. I'd be happy to return.

The building appears to be 70s vintage but the room had been recently renovated and was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The service was truly excellent, lots of helpful friendly advice.

The location is right in the city center which is not as advantageous as it seems post-earthquake but it was still convenient for us to get an early flight the next morning.
