I stayed at this property my last night on the South Island in November, 2011 before catching an early morning flight out of CHC to head back to the States. I couldn't have been more pleased with this decision.
I arrived in the late evening at the domestic terminal and it was easy to find a phone there to contact the hotel and arrange for their van to pick me up less than 10 minutes later. Check in was very easy and informative and included a complimentary voucher that I used to down a final Speight's Distinction after getting myself organized in the clean, quiet , well appointed room to which I was assigned.
I got a number of restful hours of sleep in a comfortable bed prior to my 4:00 A.M. wake up call.
As soon as I was showered and dressed I was able to check out seamlessly at the front desk and immediately catch a van back to CHC in ample time to catch my early morning flight.
The only glitch in my stay was the difficulty I had getting my American Airlines AAdvantage account credited with 250 miles for this stay. That is the reason that I delayed writing this review until now. I was very impressed with how attentive the staff of this property were in promptly responding to my multiple e-mails about this problem. It took fully 2+ months to take care of this but I never felt that my inquiries were "blown off" or "put on the back burner" by the front office staff that I exchanged e-mails with over the past three months. In fact, I was particularly impressed with the diligence of the staff to help sort out this glitch with me.

As there is so little hotel accommodation available in Christchurch surrently I was a little worried what to expect - I needn't have been.
Prices were reasonable - The "Business Level" room booked was spacious, comfortable and well appointed.
The staff were helpful and friendly we were quickly moved to another toom after a failed air con issue.
Although some 7.5km from the city centre this is a great hotel and is close the airport with a courtesy shuttle bus.
The Restaurant and Bar Area is also good,

I'm glad for our last night in NZ, after sleeping in a camper van for a week, we paid the extra money to stay here. It was a beautiful hotel and we had a great stay. While we were checking in, we learned that the cat one of the front desk ladies was petting was actually a member of the hotel staff for the past 12 years or more. I think his name was The Boss. If you go to the pool area and look at this cool photo collage image thing, you will see him included in there, if you don't happen to see him in person during your stay.

The room was clean, beds were very comfy, front desk was very helpful. Our flight was super early the next morning and with their free shuttle and close vicinity to the airport, we made our flight with lots of time to spare.

We had dinner at their restaurant and our experience there was also great. Local fish and fresh veggies, we had a fun time.

we stay here regularly, always a good deal, love the cooked buffet breaky, the meals are top grade. the pool is wonderful, the staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. the hotels free shuttle service to and from the airport has come in handy many times, especially overseas flights arriving at 2am. i found the rooms tidy, comfortable and roomy,
the kids love it, and its handy to orana park and the airport.
