My friend and I spent only a short overnight stay here however it was most memorable from the friendly moteliers who enabled us to check in well before the usual time. The studio unit was clean and tidy and gorgeous. We had a ground floor unit which was exceptionally quiet. Could not fault our stay whatsoever and would definitely stay again the next time I am in town. Thanks Amore Motor lodge!

We chose this place for our first night in NZ since our flight got in so late, we'd only be here for a couple hours and didn't want to spend too much. This was the perfect place. They do really well with the late check-ins. We called the day of to make sure, but when we got in, past midnight, there was a clearly printed sign on the front desk telling us which room was ours and how to find it. We were a little worried (paranoid city kids) that some crazy would already be hiding out in our unlocked room but once we got in and checked the room out and didn't see anyone, we were then happy.

The beds were clean and comfy. The room looked very new, modern, and clean. The bathroom was very spacious, too. Check out was a breeze and the staff was really friendly.

Since the city center is still closed due to the earthquakes, this hotel was right across the street from the new (temp?) city center big mall so if you forgot anything, you're already in a good place to get stuff.

My partner and I stayed at Amore Motor Lodge for one night and could not have been more pleased. We were a bit worried because we were arriving late, but Michelle reassured us that we would not have any problems getting into our room. The room itself exceeded any expectations we had. It was extremely clean and modern... there was even a heated towel rack in the bathroom! Michelle could not have been more helpful. She was very informative and told us everything that we needed to know about making our way around Christchurch. She even held our bags for us for about an hour or two after we checked out so we could walk around without having to carry everything with us. She also helped organize transportation which was much cheaper than the taxis. She always had a big smile on her face and was willing to do anything to make sure that we were happy guests! If we return to Christchurch, we will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed in Amore a few weeks ago to visit family in Christchurch, it was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there a few times before. What a great wee motel, the managers were amazing and friendly. I was slightly nervous as it was my first trip to Christchurch since the earthquakes, but was quickly put to ease as the managers showed me around and assured me of the sturdieness of the building. Clean comfortable rooms, quite and spacious. Riccartorn mall is literally right across the road. Lovely modern decore, optional continental breakfast. Smiles all round! Thanks Amore, Ill be back and will highly recommend anyone to stay here.
