Stayed one night in the Centre Point on Colombo in Feb. It's a great place to stay in Christchurch - big room, very clean, good location and great host. He helped with everything from booking the shuttle to a massage.

We selected Centre Point ourselves when the travel company's selected hotel was condemned by the earthquake. We had no idea what to expect but found that this family run motel made its guests feel important and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and as enjoyable as could be expecetd in such a sad and devastated city.
We had roomy comfortable accomodation on the two nights we had with Jeff and Naomi and they were extremely helpful when we had a late departure flight.
You will get good advice on where to visit,what to see and where to eat. Book Centre Point with confidence.

Great small hotel close to central Christchurch. Quiet complex with clean rooms. Offstreet parking, but not undercover. Friendly hosts with plenty of recomendations for sightseeing and eateries.
Fenced off area of the CBD was at the end of the street and Casino was in walking distance.

We had a fantastic stay and wish it was for longer! The property owners were particularly helpful with our needs and very friendly which made us feel like we were regulars even though it was just the one nights stay. Really liked the recycling program, very comfortable quality room fittings, and the personal know how and advice. Thoroughly recommended to all, and we wish Jeff and Naomi all the best. We shall definitely come back here when we stay in CHCH again.
