“Great location, huge apartment style living”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

The entrance to the apartment was a little odd with no reception desk and only a buzzer to gain entrance but once in, we expereinced a friendly greeting and were taken to our room. The room was very large, clean and had a good sized balcony. We were left without having to complete any paper work. This is deffintely the place to go if you just want to be left alone. I know Wellington well so did not require any advice or recommendations so can not comment on this side of the hotel.

The location is as good as it gets. 5 mins to Te Papa, 5 mins to Courtenay Place (restaurants and bars) and 10 minutes to Lambton Quay or Cuba Mall (shopping). We literally walked everywhere.

Only negative I could possibly find is that the water pressure in the shower was very poor. But if this is the only negative that tells you that this is a great place to stay.

Very reasonably priced also.

“The name says it all”

Stayed here for 5 nights in January, in a studio room overlooking Te Papa Museum. Just outside the heart of the city, but still within walking distance of everything, the accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including a washer/dryer. It's fourth floor location made for a very quiet stay. Highly recommended. Information provided by the owners included a recommendation to a nearby restaurant called 'Two Souls' where we enjoyed a lovely meal at a reasonable price. Try the seafood chowder - you won't be disappointed. A large New World supermarket nearby for all supplies was a bonus, and public transport is only one street back. The extensive redeveloped waterfront area is just behind Te Papa and is great for strolling.

Room Tip: Try to get one overlooking Te Papa Museum.

“A really great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This hotel has it all: great staff, lovely rooms, nice view of the harbor, washing machine and dryer, wifi, and it's two minutes from Te Papa and a short walk to Cuba St and downtown. Very up to date, it's on the top floor of an office building with Lexis/Nexis for a neighbor. We were lucky to find it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the harbor side.

“Fantastic location”

Location was perfect for going to shows and the many restaurants. Big bonus was free car parking. Very quiet even although it is surrounded by busy roads
