We stayed for 4 nights in early new year 2012 and what a pleasant surprise the Amora was. We stayed in the Club Suites at a great rate and had fantastic views of the Harbour. The location was terrific; close to the wharf walkways, restaurants and museum and just around the corner from Cuba street (more restaurants).
The best surprise was the Sky TV system (foxtel for Aussie guests). This made us really feel at home with it's IQ box and full range of channels to allow us to record our favourite shows and watch at our leasure . This is a rare find in any hotel.
Another great find was the restuarant and grill- a steak to challenge any restaurant we came across in NZ. Staff were helpful and courteous so would recommend this hotel to any traveller to Wellington.

Booked one night direct through hotel with a deal of $155 including valet parking for a studio room. Check in was simple. Car was parked and retrieved with no dents, the room was on 8th floor so nice and quiet, room was lovely and modern, lovely waterfront view of harbor and great shower. No real complaints. Wanted to stay a second night but couldn't as they were fully booked which was disappointing as we went elsewhere for $120 which was very old, dated and small!!!!

My Husband and I stayed for new years, we ask for the 9th floor with club room access but the club room was closed on our stay but our room got up-graded but on the 7th floor.
Very modern room with a hugh king bed which was so nice and great harbour veiws, loved the valet parking also staff are friendly enough.
Close to everything, bars/shops etc.
We thought it was great value for money and highly recommended.
Oh one more thing buffet breakfast was yummy and the best we have every had.

We stayed on the 5th floor of the Amora and enjoyed the views over to the harbour, the proximity to the city centre and eating places. We also enjoyed the king size bed and the first class room facilities. The cost was very reasonable and we would definitely stay there again.
