“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2012 NEW

This was my first stay at Travelodge and I was quite impressed. Rooms are value for money and have all the essentials. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The location is great being close to both The Terrace business district and also shops and restaurants. Parking is available right next door at a cost of $20 a day. I found the wi-fi a bit on the expensive side though at $30/day. I would certainly consider staying with them again in the future.

“Highly Impressed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2012

Feeling adventurous we took the mystery option on Wotif and were pleasantly surpised to secure the Travelodge at a great rate.

You can believe all the great online reviews.

Friendly staff, clean well appointed modern rooms. We stayed in a standard room on level 17 that had great views of the harbour. Higher floors will have even better views. Centrally located in the middle of the CBD, short walk to the train station and restaurants along Cuba Mall & Courtney Place.

Plenty of room for 1 suitcase but if you don’t travel light or prefer a larger bathroom you may wish to pay for an upgrade.

Restaurant menu had a good selection and was reasonably priced.

I understand if you book online direct with the hotel on Tuesdays they have special deals.

Internet costs $30/day. Car parking in adjacent building $20/day.

“Does what its says on the tin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2012

As an single overnight stay I would recommend a stay at the Travelodge - for the price it is good value. It is clean, functional and very central for downtown Wellington. I liked the fact they had a shower cubicle and not a bath with a shower head in it. One complaint is the room size - very small which is why I wouldn't want to stay for anything other than a single or few nights. But would stay again. If you are looking at selecting the 'mystery deal' for Wellington on a popular hotel booking portal you can bet it is likely to be the Travelodge.

“Perfectly fine for a brief stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2012

We didn't have much time in Wellington, which is a shame. This hotel was fine, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend too long in it as the room was quite cramped. Clean and modern though, with a mini-kitchen. Breakfast was fine and the staff were helpful.
