“Quality is a given, service friendly, food excellent”

We have been here several times previously. We enjoy the ambience, the continuous excellence of the food and the friendly service.

We travel regularly and enjoy returning to one of the most reliable and elegant icons in our home city, where the service is friendly and exacting, the Italian food is always of the highest standards and the place is elegant without being over the top.

For visitors this is a good means of sampling a special meal in Melbourne. Pleased to favourably recommend.

Food about 5-6 years ago was the best, unfortunatlely laking in that wow factor now there are much better, you only buy name and large plates.

The restaurant to be spoilt with great Italian food, wine & service in a beautiful dining room. Consistently 1st class. A very special place with wonderful wait staff & atmosphere

“Where have they all gone?”

Melbourne used to have a lot of grand restaurants. Grossi Florentino is the last man standing. As you walk upstairs you go back to another time and place...expensive time and place but who cars.....the service and the food are outstanding..make sure you sit in the main room not the suburbs outside it
