Have eatne there probably 8 times last year - always reliable for food quality and reaosnable value - good service.

Went here based on reviews online expecting a fairly authentic, spicy experience.
Food was alright, but not anywhere close to what I would expect from the glowing reviews. Clientele was almost completely non-Indian which had me worried as you're almost guaranteed to see a good place busy with Indian ex-pats.
Servers had little idea about the food.. and it just became a question of accepting a mistake had been made, eating the food, which was fine, just not very good, and leaving.
decor wasn't great, but I could care less about that... have eaten plate after plate of ginger chicken off plastic tables and chairs with naan bread served by hand from a plastic laundry basket in downtown Jubail, KSA... decor doesn't matter when the 'aunty' flavour is in the food!!
Will keep looking for an authentic Indian experience.

Spent a very enjoyable evening of curry and wine with family on a quiet rainy melbourne night at the curry vault thanks to their very warm and welcoming service. Was the dining highlight of our weekend in melbourne.
