I stay bed here for 2 nights with my partner, the overall stayad was pleasant and the rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything you need. The bathroom was incredibly big. lots of space which actually made a massize difference the room itself was well set out with plenty of space and even the studios had there own little kitchen with all the basics you will need. the air con worked well and silently and it was a very comfortable sleep. I have stayed at quiet a few hotels and this is by far the best value for money u will ever get! The only thing I have to complain about is very minor and that is the 10am check out time, which they happily extended anyway!!!

I took the advise of a lot of other reviewers when I booked this hotel & requested a room with a view overlooking the Yarra River & away from the lifts. I was delighted when the staff accommodated my request & got to the room on the 18th floor with an absolutely beautiful view of the Yarra & the South Bank.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to Flinders St station, Degraves St and the South Bank making it easy to stroll out to the major attractions in Melbourne.
The room was very clean, modern & well designed with everything you would need.
All the staff were very friendly & helpful.
The only problems we had was that we were woken by a fire alarm at 2am one night & that we weren't given much tea, coffee or milk so we had to ration ourselves.
I would definitely recommend the hotel & go there again.

Family of four stayed in two bed appt for several nights in Jan '12. Overall experience was very good. Room was clean and well furnished, staff were friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic - only a few blocks from all the attractions.

We used the pool every day and the kids enjoyed this facility. Can't comment on the bar/restaurant as we always ate out - Melbourne has some fantastic eateries.

Only downside is the cost of broadband. Oaks is promoted as business friendly, yet manages to charge $12 for two hours internet access - c'mon Oaks this is 2012. Most places give it away. That's the only reason I don't go with 5*.

Yes - I would stay here again and recommend it esp to families who need a bit more space than the conventional hotel room.

Stayed for one night only, Had great view from room that faced the River and tall scrapers.
The room and Kitchen t, so make yourself cup tea or coffee, There 7 elevens nearby were can some small items.
One thing to careful off. if you have to get to Airport using Sky Bus, makes sure you call the company yourself.. I had it done by the reception staff, and the pick up bus did not turn up. they told me the sky bus had wrong pick up time. So check yourself.
SKY BUS Offer Good Transport to city Center and drop you off at your hotel.
