stayed over the long weekend over Australia day in a 3 Bedroom apartment across the road ,had some family members visiting us for Barbie, The wonderful restaurant staff offered use their Marquee area on a beautiful sunny day. We paid weekly rate of $1400 for our family of 7 which worked out very economic for us.
Though housekeeping was done only 2 times during a week, there was a whole cupboard full of extra towels and toiletry. Chinese housekeeper, dont remember the name, was very helpful throughout the stay. Internet was down few times but immediate action was taken.

I just want to advise that the food quality of this restaurant at the Buckingham International (AJ's Bar and bistro) is very good. However, the quantity (for the price) is almost embarrassing. We recently dined there and could not get over how small a quantity we received....especially the rack of lamb. Three very tiny chops, that was literally one mouthfull. The chef or Managment really need to have another look at what they are charging for the meal and how much they actually serve. If it wasn't for the exceptional, attentive service of the excellent "Wilson", we would probably not return. Have deep pockets and be prepared to stop in at a "takeway" after you leave for a top off. You will still be very hungry.

We stayed four nights in a family room that consisted of a bedroom with 2 single beds and a queen in the main room that was also the sitting room. We had enough room in the separate room to easily fit a portable cot between the two singles.
There was a new flat screen tv with excellent reception/ channels.
Location - this motel is about 10 mins walk to a large Westfield shops and about 5 mins in the opposite direction to the train statin (Highett). The train to the city took about 25 minutes and is very regular (we waited under 10 minutes on a public holiday timetable). Definitely not city centre bt it suited us as we attended a function at Brighton and this place was far better value. I would not suggest staying here if you don't have a car though as it was an $80 cab fare from the airport and takes about an hour. Overall a decent place, room service breakfast was excellent (restaurant/ bar was closed over Xmas/ New Year). Pool was nice although it is near the marquee that I suspect is used for functions which could restrict use at peak times.

We stayed over the weekend for our best friends wedding in near by suburb, the car park was full on arrival due to some Oldies' Christmas party .... but one of the reception staff moved her own car and gave us a spot in a staff car park- which was very nice of her....Did not spend much time in the room but it was comfy ... The breakfast staff was friendly and efficient.
