“Good location, quite setting, excellent service”

Our check in went very smoothly. Reception accommodated us with an early (noon) check in and a late (noon) which was greatly appreciated. We snacked at the hotel cafe before attending a business meeting. The cafe was busy and sometimes congested, located in front of reception.
Our dinner room device was very good and prompt.
The disappointment was with the bedding. W requested a queen bed but found we had two singles. We were not in the frame of mind to go through the hoops of changing rooms, having been afforded an early check in. Also, the number of pillows was limited, where the room should have provided at least two extra for comfort.
We arrived at the restaurant next morning at 11am to find the restaurant closing down to prepare for lunch. Fortunately we found a nearby restaurant which was fab.

Room Tip: Request a room with a view and be sure to get the bed you want with extra pillows!

“Basic, pretty tired decor but centrally located”

If it's location you want then it's difficult to beat , but it's a basic and pretty tardy hotel, not much above 3star

“Clean and well located”

The passageways leading to the rooms may have been a little dull. A few rooms had strange shapes and layouts, but I got one that was meant for wheelchair access and so the room was larger, but the bathroom did not have a shower curtain.

The room was clean, the hotel well located. Internet access was spotty for certain devices. For example, my iphone had no trouble getting onto their Wi-Fi, but the Macbook had many issues.

Front desk was not terrible efficient. They were not rude, but they were not friendly either.

I travelled with my 16 year old son and this hotel was central to everything. Although on Flinders Street noise could not be heard at all and we had a good nights' sleep. Breakfast was available but we found there were so many cafes nearby and cheap meals were easily found. The trams and station were so close we were able to go wherever we wanted and without any trouble. The room was spotless and serviced daily and I would definitely stay here again at $99.00 per night.

“Great central location in Cbd”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

My husband and I (late 20's/ early 30's) stayed for 1 night on new years eve. We found check in very easy and was surprised when we eventually opened our room door to see quite a large room. It's not overly modern but clean and in good condition. The bathroom was quite large too. Bed comfortable and had a little mini bar too. Overall we would stay there again if we got a good rate. We paid 220 including breakfast which I would say don't bother as de graves at is literally next door and has great cafes and the food is grab unlike the lobby continetal breakfast that was on offer. The location is fantastic. As you are right opposite flinders st station to get the train and the tram stop is in front of the hotel too.
