This is a really decent hostel in the city centre - it is clean, has excellent bathrooms and even shelving in the rooms for your bags (makes a BIG difference when you're sharing with 9 other backpackers!) plus lockers for valuables.
The staff are superb and Rowhan was incredibly helpful and supportive when we lost both a wallet and a camera out in the city.
The pub downstairs is nice and does good food at reasonable prices.
All in all, this is a great base to explore the city!

What a nice surprise to find a place like this in Melbourne?
I have been to Melbourne many times and haev stayed in many different places around the city, many I feel lacked any kind of atmosphere or any genuine hospitality- this place is a gem!

I particluarly like the traditional music nights with all of the Irish musicians playing their whacky instruments!

It's in a great location also, about 2 minutes walk to Queen Victoria Markets, right near the Melbourne Uni and less than 5 minutes walk in to the hear of the city and Lygon Street and a really short tram ride to Brunswick which is one of the coolest suburbs in Melbourne!
