“Interesting, informative and good value.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Steven, our guide, was knowledgeable about the geography, history and culture of the region in the Yarra valley and also knew his stuff about the wine too. We did the tour which included a guided walk round the Healsville Sanctuary which was also excellent and full of interesting facts.
We went to Yering Station which was beautiful and had a lively lunch there too - the tasting was comprehensive, allowing us to try almost 20 wines. De Bortoli was our second stop which was also lovely, though the dessert wines were the only really tasty ones we tried.

“A fantastic finish to a great week!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

For the past several years, the 'tennis girls' take off to Melbourne for a whirlwind week of tennis & great restaurants. We now have to add Vinetrekker to our itinerary for future visits. Our last day in Melbourne this time was spent visiting the Mornington Peninsula with Paul. We visited Tanglewood Estate, Willow Creek & Balnarring Vineyards. All very different, interesting and great wines. Lunch was at Salix Restaurant and absolutely delicious. Next stop was Mornington Peninsula Chocolates & then Red Hill Cheese. Vinetrekker ticks all the boxes and Paul has a great rapport with everyone at the wineries. Thanks for a great day out Paul!

Thanks for taking the time to review the tour and delighted it ticked all the boxes for you and the girls and was the icing on the cake at the end of another terrific visit to Melbourne. We're very fortunate to have another world class destination in the Mornington Peninsula so close to Melbourne and it provides a terrific contrast to the more commercial and higher profiled Yarra Valley. Thanks for being good fun and looking forward to catching up again next January. All the best.

“Perfect day touring the Yarra Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

The tour of the Yarra Valley wineries that we took with Vinetrekker was exceptional -- one of the most memorable and pleasant days of our 2-week trip to Australia, which began with 3 days in Melbourne. As there was only one other very pleasant couple on the tour, it indeed felt like a private experience. Stephen, our guide, was the perfect host, and gauged well the level of technical detail to provide to a small party interested in not only the wines, but also taking in the overall Yarra Valley experience -- sipping wine, enjoying the beautiful scenery, chatting with the proprietors (who seemed to like Stephen as much as we did, and who were especially generous in their pouring!), and fine dining (fabulous lunch at Yering Station). Stephen allowed us to linger when we wanted, yet discretely kept us on track in order see everything he had planned for us. Considering the personal level of attention, the number of wines we were able to sample, the assortment of other nibbles, and the delicious lunch, the tour exceeded our best expectations.

“Best Tour in Melbourne - Unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

My wife and I always wanted to visit the Yarra Valley and wanted an expert to take us. With Vinetrekkers and Paul you get that and more. Door to door, total customer service and one of the most interesting days you can have. Visited the Wildlife Sanctuary as well as vineyards. Our personal favourite was Yering Station...for food, location and the wine. The Tawny is brilliant. Paul has a fantastic relationship with the vineyards and the response you get at each one from Vinetrekkers and the Vineyard teams is totally focused and personal. Would recommend this trip to all. (Paul - apologies for taking so long to review)

Thanks for taking the time to review your day tour to the Yarra Valley and no problems at all with the delay. Am delighted it was such a positive experience and one you still have very strong memories of. It is a world class destination and we're incredibly fortunate to have it so close to Melbourne and for it to offer such diversity. All the best and I hope you're back here before too long to experience another tour to a different wine region.

“A Fantastic Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

I was in Melbourne for a week in December and wanted to explore the surrounding area outside of the city. This tour was the perfect way to spend a day. It is a very small group (there were only 3 people on my tour) and that makes it feel very intimate and special. The wineries we visited were amazing. Our tour guide, Paul, has a wonderful rapport with each of the wineries. It feels like you are spending the day sampling great wine with good friends. The lunch was probably the one of the best meals I have ever had. I will definitely do another tour with Paul and the Vinetrekker staff next time I am in Melbourne.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review the day and delighted to hear you enjoyed it so much. It is a world class region with superb wine, food and scenery. Glad you got to see some of the countryside and hope it's not too long before you're back. Hope you have luck tracking down some of the wonderful wines back in Phoenix.
