My wife & I stayed in a city view room on the 10th Feb 2012. This hotel has all of the luxuries of home.… except of the marvelous views. The check in was hassle free and the front desk very helpful. Our room was spacious & very well appointed. We stayed on the 23rd floor and had a city view which was fantastic, particularly after dark when all the city lights illuminated the surounding buildings. The 27th floor is a must visit as it contains the infinity pool and gym. Just to be in the pool at dusk with the changing light was a must. The change rooms also have a steam sauna and spa which was very relaxing. It's a pity that I didn't spend more time time there. The restaurant at Hives is also a must as the meal was fantastic. Everything is close at hand at Metropol. Eureka sky deck is a short 10 minute stroll and is well worth the effort once you are on the 88th floor. Base yourself at Metropol & you will not be disappointed. Lots of restaurants close at hand together with the many attractions in Melbourne & you will not want to leave, just like me. are now planing another trip there. Next time we are trying level 28.

Currently staying at the hotel in a king lux room, paid the extra $110 for level 28 access. Absolute fantastic service at level 28, they sent us a bottle of sparking wine and chocolate to help us celebrate our anniversary. So far all my needs have been met, when requesting something it gets delivered to my room in an instant. Great work metropol, I will be returning here again and again.

I was lucky enough to spend 2 nights at Crown Metropole during a recent conference. I loved the decor, the staff and the location. The rooms are huge with very large well designed bathrooms and the beds are super comfy. The restaurant/bar is very funky and although I only ate breakfast there that was pretty good. I especially appreciated the small touches - magazines in the room, Madame Flavour teas, quality hair dryer. My room overlooked a car park but that did not really matter as the room was so nice to be in. I appreciated being able to order a "real" coffee with breakfast and not be charged extra. I would be more than happy to come back.

Gorgeous hotel, wonderful decor, the breakfast at Club 28 is delicious. The mattresses are quite firm but that is to be expected in an international hotel. Pillows are great, service is good. Definitely my number 1 choice for staying in Melbourne CBD.
