Good location for north Hobart restaurant strip etc, lovely grounds and the rooms are very comfortable ( if a little kitchy in decor). Hosts are friendly, free wifi, DVD selection and pretty good breakfast.

we stayed 2 nights at The Elms - Tina and Raymond are great hosts, the house is extremely clean, bed very comfortable, breakfast just right, garden relaxing. I sit here thinking what could I complain about.......after much thought !!! I decided the coffee supplied in the rooms should be Nescafe not International Roast.
Seriously though, this a a very comfortable place to stay

This was a beautiful heritage listed property which took us back in time to an era that we both would have loved to be part of. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and even though it was the height of summer when we stayed at the property, there were plenty of flowers in bloom. The amenities were modern but in keeping with the age and era of the property. Our room was towards the front of the property on the first floor and I did not hear any traffic noise that others have mentioned in their reviews. In fact we had a wonderful sleep.

The hospitality shown by our hosts were both friendly and informative.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and can recommend the cake/pastry shop not far from the B&B.

What did we like best? The ability to be experience an era of times gone by; an era I would have loved to be part of as the original owner or family members of this beautiful home.

What did we like least? Nothing

Spent a week here and was very impressed with this B & B. The hosts Raymond and Tina were so welcoming and knowledgeable about Hobart and the surrounding area.Breakfasts were yummy boiled eggs every morning and lovely fresh bread! Our room was spotless and maintained to a standard better than some 4* hotels we have stayed in. Having off street parking was definately a bonus in that area of Hobart.
The gardens were an oasis of calm and it was lovely to sit there enjoying a complementary sherry or port.We would highly recommend staying there.
