The hostel is really clean and quiet but the room is small and basic. In the ensuite double room we stayed, the size of the toilet is acceptable but the room is just big enough for a bed, a small bedside table and two luggage boxes.

It does not provide parking space but off-street parking is easy to find. They are free from 6 pm to 9 am from Monday to Friday and free for the whole day on Saturdays and Sundays.

It is ideal for budget travellers if you deal directly with the owner. Also, I am tired with the reminders posted everywhere in the hostel reminding you to share your favourable comments about the hostel on the internet!

The perfect place to stay after hiking the Overland Track. Quiet, cosy and close to lots of cool things (restaurants, cinemas, shopping etc).

It's always hard to find a good, quiet hostel that isn't full of party animals. This place had lots of signs around to remind guests to be quiet after 10pm! Hooray! Loud trouble makers will be evicted! PERFECT!

Free tea and coffee, big kitchen, free internet/wifi, cosy living space and very friendly staff.
I shared a twin single room with my dad and we had an ensuite; it was quite small and basic - but nonetheless had all the essentials and it was clean with free towel usage.

Will definately stay here again.

I have been staying 3 times at this hostel for a variuous number of nights (max 4). I could easily plan my trip throughout Tasmania - FREE internet - then get some rest between 2 treks, and then get a final good rest before leaving Tasmania. The owners are simple and really friendly. The kitchen is CLEAN and has plenty cooking equipments! Tables are available in the common room so you can chill out with a free tea/coffee. Excellent place also as it is quite in the central Hobart. Not suitable for party people... that's true.

I stayed here twice. The linen and bathrooms are clean, the staff is helpful, the location is pretty central. There is a variety of sizes of rooms and the kitchen is pretty big and has all sorts of cooking "equipment". What more can you ask for?.
