This was our last stay following a 3 week car trip "down under". This residential neighborhood was very quaint. Front gardens full of roses. Grande Vue was re-landscaping the front while we were there so am sure the new English garden should be awesome. Adequate parking. Easy walk to several nice restaurants, but they don't start serving dinner until 6PM. 15 min. walk to Salamanca Market.... a must on Saturday.
Huge vase of fresh flowers in the front hall & lobby were a pleasant greeting. Public areas tastefully furnished. Being on a budget, we chose the Chambre room for 3 nights. Nothing "budget" re: accommodations ! Upscale furnishings, bedding, towels, carpet, window treatments. Marble bathroom floor. Heated towel rack. Liked the folding doors to close off the mini-kitchen. Added surprise treat to have fresh muffins delivered to our room @ 5PM each day. As advertised, no view from this room..... well, a drive-way @ eye level, but outside could not see in (we tried) . Being in the basement, was difficult to haul luggage up/down narrow, winding stairs. Helpful management was appreciated.
Please note: central heating can not be regulated in rooms.
The water view from upper floors is fabulous ! Splurge and go for it --
