“A piece of Paradise in the outback... Love It!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

My partner & I are professional entertainers & travel to Coober Pedy each year to perform for New Years Eve. Flying from Adelaide and then hitting the extreme heat Coober Pedy generally has on offer in December/January is a shock to the system but knowing we will be greeted at the airport by our wonderfull hosts ( Rosie & Alex) and driven to our lovley piece of paradise in the ground makes the heat far more bareable..and the preparation for our evenings performance much easier..The B&B is very quaint, spacious, cool, clean, modern facilities, TV, Stereo + WI-FI and the stunning home-made little touches like Rosie's jams & mustards, the fridge is always full when we get there of bread, butter, eggs, bacon, tomatoe's, mushrooms, orange juice, cold water, fruit bread, white wine, red wine & freshly ground coffee as well as a variety of Tea's to select from. The medium size above ground SWIMMING POOL is an absolute GOD-SEND!!! It is always sparkling clean & ready to use...We love coming back from a show & just sitting with a glass of wine in the pool chilling out...There are great cooking facilities next to the undercover pool area( BBQ & Electric frypans) that we enjoyed having some fellow performers over for a BBQ lunch & swim..Rosie & Alex are the driving force behind the massive success of this amazing B&B, they are fantastic hosts, very friendly but not in your face, they are a pleasure to spend time with..Personally we wouldnt stay anywhere else in Coober Pedy...5 Star is how we would rate the B&B and our continued experiences there when performing at Coober Pedy..Keep up the great work Rosie & Alex..love your work...Cheers from Kate Lara & Antonio Villano xoxo

“Unique underground B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

My husband and I stayed at Down to Erth B&B on our trip from Alice Springs to Adelaide in January 2012.
We loved this gem in the desert. The accommodation was very spacious, clean and perfect temperature on a very hot day. The hosts Rose and Alex were very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the plunge pool after a great dinner at John's Pizza Bar and loved the breakfast provided before we set off the following morning.
All in all it was a great experience which we certainly will recommend to our friends and family.

“Cool Places to Stay when visiting Planet Earth - #1 Down To Erth B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

There are many things for you to see, do and experience in the area around Coober Pedy.

Down To Erth sits right up there at the top of the list, allowing you to live, breathe and feel just how comfortable and natural underground living can be. The accommodation is practical, spacious and quite unique, with an amazingly effective natural airflow (we arrived in 43° C).

Did I mention how cool it is? You will be amazed at the quality of sleep you have due to the natural abundance of cool fresh air instead of the whine of air conditioning which is the norm for this region.

Your every need is catered for, thanks to the thoughtfulness and attention to detail by Alex & Rose. When you stay here, I'm sure you will be adding Down To Erth to your very own list of unforgettable experiences.

Have a safe journey,

Pete Nunn, Tassie & Sue Cannon, Genéve.

PS - check out www.cooberpedy.net for local info and you may decide that one night just won't be enough.

Room Tip: book early, the word is out and it is a very popular place to stay both for locals and visiting alie...

“What a beautiful place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I travelled to Cooper pedy with my husband, 2 yr old son, mother and brother. After a very long drive, we needed to relax and Down to Erth was the perfect place to do this. It was a real pleasure staying there en route to Uluru. We also stayed on our journey back from Uluru to Adelaide. The rooms are spacious and comfy, lots of space in the living areas and it was great having the plunge pool! Rose and Alex were so helpful (especially when our car wouldnt start!) and also having left clothes in the dryer when we left, Rose was very kind to send these back to us. I would definately recommend this place and I will most certainly stay here again!
