I travel frequently for work and had great expectations after reading all the great reviews...
Unfortunately it didn't live up to the reviews. I stayed for 4 days and found both the room and the bathroom to be disappointingly small. I guess in fairness if u were staying for only one night , it probably would not have been a problem but as my stay was longer I found the room size quite claustrophobic. The bathroom in particular was tiny ( I am only small in size but even I found it difficult to dress while standing in bathroom after a shower without hitting walls and/or cabinet. )
I missed having power points near the bedside tables. A single narrow bench meant that I could not have work area with computer set up and have a space to eat, which forced me to use the bed as table for eating..
I picked this hotel as it offered room service , however during my stay the restaurant/room service was cancelled 5 min before it was due to start at 6. I found this very frustrating as the location of this hotel means I then had to drive to go find somewhere to eat. As a shift worker this isn't optimal.
Overall while this hotel was clean, I wouldn't return as the other issues I found would only frustrate....

Great location and central to Townsville CBD. The motel has a lovely pool area with an oasis feeling and the BBQ area is clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.The room was a good size,very comfortable and clean .

omg!!!! Never knew this place existed. It's fantastic....absolutely beautiful and exceptionally clean. It was woth every penny. My kids loved the pool and because it was surrounded by lush tropical trees and bushes its mostly shaded from the sun. The decor in rooms were lovely....what u c is what u get!!!! The staff were very helpful.
Gave me alot of info on things especially when my daughter was ill and suggested what place to go to. Thanks girls. WE were all treated like gold!!! Indeed very happy with everthing and will be definitely making tihis my first option next time we visit. Really ideal for families with kids.

A great place to stay...the rooms are clean and roomy...minimal street noise...a tropical paradise! The staff are very accommodating and the food in the "Sidewalk Cafe" is great.
