I stayed here last week for a conference and was impressed with the level of service on offer.
The rooms are well appointed, although small they are very comfortable, the hotel included with my room, breakfast and free wifi. I was also able to borrow DVD movies from Reception again at no extra cost, the room has a DVD player and a flat screen. The bathrooms was classy and the room itself was clean.
The outside of the hotel is in need of a paint and the external appearance is very tired, although you can see renovation work going on. Has a Bar also in need of a make over, an in discussion with the bar person said it was due later this year. Overall very good and very friendly. 5 out of 5.

Leaving tomorrow after a 2 week stay, want to say a big thank you to the staff at The Plaza Hotel, great atmosphere and service, would definitely recommend.

We were really pleased with this hotel. Rooms were lovely, beds were extremely comfortable, staff were very friendly and it was close to central townsville and also public transport. Considering breakfast was included it was extremely good value accommodation.. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Plaza last week, good services, very nice rooms. Caught up with colleagues at the hotel bar and had the best chicken parmi on record. Highly recommend.
