Stayed at this location over the Christmas break for 3 nights, great price, modern and freshly furnished rooms. Really enjoyed the stay. Close to the rail tracks, last train seemed to be about 6:30pm or so, didnt affect our sleep at all. Its located at the end of Palmer street, but is only a short walk to all the resturants and pubs.

Oaks M is nicely located at the end of the dining precinct in Palmer Street. Nice stroll to restaurants, city and the ferry terminal to Maggie Island. We stayed in a city scape room on the 8th floor and had great views over the marina and city. With the Metropole Hotel downstairs it's not too far a walk for a refreshing brew! The room was very modern and clean with a full sized fridge and cooking facilities plus dishwasher, washer and dryer. In fact everything you need! The bed was extremely comfortable as I have found with all Oaks hotels. The only problem we did have was with the early morning light coming through the bathroom window and waking us up! They really need to put in a blind or tinted window! (we fixed the problem with our laptop case and a towel) Staff we're friendly and helpful. Oh and I wasn't fussed on the location and size of the pool. You have to walk through the foyer to access the rather small lap pool. All in all I'd stay here again due to its quiet and handy location, cleanliness and great staff!

Location is perfect, excellent staff and the room was very spacious and comfortable.

We stayed here in October and loved the place. The apartment/room was beautifully fitted out and a great design.We didn't really need to swing a cat so we had plenty of room.
It was a nice little walk up Palmer Street to cafes/restaurants and a very short walk to the main street.
The staff were very helpful however the girl at checkout tried to say she had misquoted our price and wanted to charge more-a little dodgy and unprofessional but not enough to put us off. Would definitely stay again. The restaurant wasn't really that great, staff not too interested but there were plenty of others to choose from.
