I have now stayed at Q1 a few times, always on business. Seriously, what more would you want on business accommodation or maybe just a pleasure trip. I look for ease and efficiency of booking in, clean, quiet accommodation with good beds, secure parking and friendly staff. Throw in great facilities, pool, gym, and an ideal location, then you have Q1 Resort + Spa, the icon of the Goldcoast. Also as a added bonus, walk out the front door, and you are a few steps away from one of the best Teppanyaki Restaurants in the State. But, make sure of one thing. ALWAYS book through the main reception of Q1. Anywhere else and ......... good luck, you will need it.

I stayed in a one bedroom City/Partial Ocean view Apartment at Q1 Resort & Spa in Surfers paradise and wanted to share my experience with TA readers.

The property is located close to the main strips Cavill and Orchid Avenue, and a stones throw to the beach. Took me only minutes to walk to the centre of town, the only dilemma was whether towalk through the side streets or along the beach.

The apartment was in excellent/as new condition, and housekeeping kept the place in tip top condition ( I;m a single guy so ... ). The entire staff, for that matter, from GM to reception, were hospitable and always there to assist when requried ( including after hours staff ).

Ths is not the first time I have stayed at Q1, and with new property's opening their doors each year, Q1 has an ambience that brings me back all the time.

So getting ready for June 2012, I strongly recomment Q1 as the palce to spend your next holiday/corporate stay, Summer or Winter, or anytime of the year. Families were not an intrusion, and the property has a non tolerance policy to parties.

Checked in on 5th January 2012 after having to vacate previously booked accommodation. Only stayed here because all 4-4.5 star accommodation full booked. Reception was very helpful and we were shown into the only available room which was a 3 bedroom apartment on 32nd floor. We had 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets, a very nice kitchen and large lounge/dining. A very big apartment and nice and clean. Small things would have bothered me if we weren't out of the apartment most of the day and night sightseeing namely TV was fuzzy on every channel and tv in master bedroom didn't work at all. It has an indoor balcony which seems a bit odd for me. The airconditioning only worked in half of the apartment but didn't bother us enough during our stay to get it fixed. We told reception on check-out so hopefully those things got sorted. Rooms were serviced with fresh towels everyday which was a nice touch. Very expensive at AU$470 a night but was necessary since was the only accommodation available. The pool area was nice and clean and great views from our balcony. Would definitely stay here again.

Me and my partner do a lot of traveling within Australia, we have hear about the Q1 hotel it looks amazing, it has great views. But that's ALL!!! It's very very dirty, the technology it's old that even my partner tried to play with the antena so we can see it more clear very old tv. We stayed for 4 days, they don't do dishes, don't clean or mop the table, they don't collect rubbish, they DIDN'T even gave us toilet paper which we were waiting for two days. We had to go and buy some ourselves. We ask them 3 times.... We will never go back there again and I do not recommended at all. I have stayed at many hotels and I have never had this service... Even the girl in the reception. Vernarada I think her name was, she was so rude to us on arrival so yeah that was the first impression.... Besides a view this hotel it's the worse..... If I have to put a star to this It would be 1 not even. When people go for holidays and stay in a 5 star hotel they expect everything perfect I would have much rather stayed in a backpackers with friendly people nice service and deffenetly cleaner.
