“Good size apartments with balconies overlooking the botanic gardens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We had two nights here at the end of trip. We booked it late online only a few days before arriving but had no problems and were very happy with our room. This is an apartment hotel located right opposite the botanic gardens.
Our room consisted of an open plan kitchen/lounge, bedroom and bathroom with a balcony right across the lounge and bedroom overlooking the botanic gardens.
We only used the hotel for the room so can not comment on anything else. The room was perhaps a little dated and could do with refurbishing although it was perfectly acceptable. It had everything required and we would have happily stayed longer and would be happy to return. I am not sure if we got any kind of discount as I booked through hotels.com I think and it was, in my opinion, good value.
The staff on reception were pleasant and helpful.

“You will enjoy your stay there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

It is really a nice hotel, with spacious, clean suites and a very friendly staff. I stayed there during my business trip and was happy that I had booked this hotel. It is situated in a nice place just opposite the botanical gardens. Breakfast ara is small, but cosy, the service is quick, so you don't waste precious morning minutes. As it isn't noisy either in the hotel or outside it, you hdve a wonderfull opportunity to have some rest in the evenings.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better

“Another great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

this is truly a lovely property , with beautifully reburbished suites, lobby and resataurant.
We spent Christmas here with friends, and enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the restaurant,
before retiring to our suite to sit on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful views of the gardens and river opposite. The suites are well furnished with all necessary items in the kitchen.
We have stayed her on several occassions, and always find the staff wonderful, and the rooms sparkling clean. To my way of thinking this is the Number 1 spot to stay in Brisbane.

“Inspirational Stay, Lovely Suites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

What an alarmingly good stay. I'm staying in the area over the next few months and was looking for a nice hotel that might inspire some interesting writing. And happily Quay West is a great hotel that isn't too pricey (depending on the deal you get obviously). The hallways were quiet, the room sparkling clean and nicely appointed. Almost everything worked well (a few glitches such as no batteries in the remote and no directory in the room) and the view and giant balconies meant hours of city/park watching. Oddly, breakfast was a comparable weak point, fine, but uneventful.

Room Tip: Choose a high room or a quiet floor.

“Fabulous Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

I have to say that this was our best accommodation experience in Brisbane. Very professional staff, a complementary upgrade to a Premium suite and beautiful views across the Botanical Gardens towards the river. The Valet parking was also appreciated and while the temperature soared towards 36 degrees Celsius outside, we enjoyed the luxurious air conditioned space.

Room Tip: Ask for a high level floor
