I stayed at this motel after a work colleague booked it for me online. I travel all over the world regularly and I was horrified that a motel like this should be located near the airport, where visitors to Australia might be led to believe that this is what is on offer to them. I paid Aud$143 to stay here and in my opinion it was a $85 motel at best. I am not sure if the fact that you have to walk up two flights of stairs with bags is a ploy to ear you out in the hope that you won't notice all the other shortcomings, but if it is, it didn't work for me. The non smoking room I booked reeked of a stale ashtray. The bed was hard as nails and I could hear the person in the next room use the shower, cough, speak on the phone through the paper thin walls. Fortunately, the sound of the trucks drowned out any other noises my neighbour may have emitted! The tv reception was fuzzy and there was one tiny soap on offer. When I went to have my breakfast, I discovered that almost every piece of cutlery was dirty. On check out the receptionist tried to charge me for non existent Internet usage and when I asked to have my credit card details deleted from the system I was told not to worry as you need a password to be able to access them.

Hello and thank you for posting your comments. I find it very disappointing you did not enjoy your recent stay. My only query is our premise building is of very thick concrete though out including all adjoining guest room walls. This provides very private space for each guest room. So perhaps you have mistaken your stay with another motel in the area. We do enjoy a very high return guest rate and our daily mission is to ensure all our guests are happy and comfortable during their stay. Kind regards, The Manager of the Airport Hacienda Motel.
