“staff are amazing, a true "home away from home"”

I have travelled to many cities world wide and stayed at moany top 5* hotels around the world, however, when work put me up for the night in Brisbane and the usual hotel we used was fully booked i was told that i was staying at the hotel .. to be honest i had never heard of the hotel. So it was with aome hesitation i stayed here as i was not sure what to expect.

When i drove down the street from the Emporium presinct i was thinking .. "where on earth has my office booked me", pulled up outside the hotel and was thinking "this looks OK" , but nothing prepared me for the "entrance" to the hotel .... ABSOLUTLEY BREATHTAKING".. amazing Air, poliched cement floors, lavish furnishings and decor.. there really has been NO EXPENSE SPARED !!! The owners make you feel very welcome, and after meeting them both you can see where the style has come from .. both Maria and Peter are people that enjoy the good life and ooze style and sofistication ! something that is hard to frind in Brisbane !!!

The Room

I stayed in a Courtyard room and was VERY impressed .. again the furnishings are supurb, funtional, and very comfortable beds. Rooms are very large and a great open courtyard to sit and have a drink or just to chill out in !!

there is a roof top terrace and an honesty bar, this would be amazing on a summers evening !!

they offer a complimentary cooked breakfast also in the morning and espresso coffee !!! Free wireless internet in the hotel and the rooms.

One thing i REALLY like it the rooms do not have telephones ... everyone has a mobile these days .. so you do not have the inroom phone ringing.. i like not having one in the room personally.

All in all, this hotel makes me think of a Small , very upmarket, celebrity hideout in the city.. for the real celebs that like all the trimmings, but want to stay in a place where they can be themselves in a very homely environment....

A true find and i will staying here whenever i am in Brisbane !!!

A small hotel, the owners address you by name, impeccable cleaniness, new and large beautifully furnished rooms. The quality of a top end hotel.

“Thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable”

We stayed for one night only, getting away from the kids. We didn't want a corporate style hotel that would feel like a business trip, and Chesters fit the bill beautifully. The streetscape is a bit off-putting (there's a used car lot over the road) but once inside you neither know nor care. Apparently it used to be the owners' apartment/house, and they were always on hand to help with things like dinner reservations, but equally not intrusive. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was some noise from other guests returning late at night as the stairs were un-carpeted and the sound echoed. Interesting art on the walls in the common spaces, and the continental breakfast was excellent. Roof deck was pleasant for a pre-dinner drink, and then an easy walk to many restaurants. One tiny criticism was that there was a poor selection of newspapers and magazines. We would definitely stay again.

“A fabulous place, friendly staff close to everything”

I have stayed here on a few occasions when up here on business. It is a wonderful space, beautifully converted into a chic yet homely hotel. The rooms are great, with huge bathrooms and comfy beds. The bar on the top makes a great spot for evening drinks especially on a summer night where it gets the breeze. Breakfast is delicious. Best of all are the staff, who remember who you are when you ring, and are always available for a chat or to recommend a good restaurant or bar.

“Unique Modern Experience”

When I walked into Chester's hotel last month I didn't know if I was in a ski lodge or an art Gallery. The Entrance & common areas are spectacular. The room was good and the service was also. This Hotel was more to what I would expect to find in Europe. It was also close to where I had my business meeting. A nice small hotel in a good location.
