Recently stayed 3 nights at Brooloo Park, approx 1.5 - 2 hours north west of Brisbane. We were attracted by the ads that show the beautiful bush setting, the working cattle station and the seclusion of the camp sites. The property is approx 280 Acres, and has about 7 camp sites. So you have total privacy and seclusion in a beautiful queensland bush setting (our site was wrapped by the creek, with a fresh water lagoon for some cooling off.) The host Vince is great and offers insight into the life on the property as well as offering horse/pony rides and demonstrations for the kids. Fires are welcomed and plenty of firewood is provided. You can go up to the homestead area at dusk and take a hot shower for $1 and have a chat to Vince and the staff, other wise you have total privacy. We absolutely loved the place and it will be our number 1 bush camping option from now on.
1 tip - we bought everything (meat, drinks etc.) to cover the whole stay, but there is a little country town just 5 minutes drive away that has a pub, a butcher and a general store, so you could really turn up with a lot less then we did and enjoy the local produce. Overall - this place is fantastic.
