“Simply Fantastic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

Stayed for two nights and to be honest we would have stayed longer. Staff and Management are super friendly and easy going. The pool is fantastic, easily the best pool we have been in since arriving in Australia, clean, well maintained and perfectly catches the sun all day.
BBQ area we didn't get chance to try but it was clean and well lit at night, great for socializing in the evening.
Kitchen wasn't great but it was nice that pans etc were available if needed but would benefit from a major clean, also the fridge is looking a bit worn out.
Bathrooms were excellent. Clean and tidy.
Laundry was also great and affordable.
The only reason it didn't get an excellent rating was the Kitchen but I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone travelling in the region looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to stay.

Area:
Spent our time fishing and kite surfing. Excellent location for both. Although the beach could use a clean up as there was a fair amount of rubbish at hightide.
Also be warned during tidal shifts the rips can be quite strong.
Didn't need anything from the local shop and didn't end up diving the Yongala but both are quite near by.

“Hidden Paradise”

Just stayed and what a place to relax and go fishing. Palm trees swaying in the ocean breeze, good size caravan sites, great pool ( would be nice if heated) and the new hosts were accommodateing and great to get aong with. Fishing was sensational, we even caught mud crabs on our rods, heaps of flathead and whiting this time of year. Coming back later in the year for when the salmon start.
Thanks for a great break. I will stay longer next time.

“Great location, lovely pool”

My experience was much better than previous reviewer. My caravan (booked through the nearby Yongala Dive centre) was ready for me, and when I said it was smaller than I wanted, was moved to a larger caravan, with no problem. The larger caravan was very spacious, with separate kitchen/lounge area, bedroom and bathroom.

The best feature of the park is the wonderful pool and jacuzzi area that the owner built himself. It's a great place to catch some sun and relax after diving or a day on the beach.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming of kids and adults alike.

“don't go there”

I wish to caution strongly against this park. I booked a cabin with en suite and paid a deposit.. On arrival no booking was recorded and their receipt for my deposit was viewed with suspicion. During my futile pleading for them to locate other suitable accommodation I was treated with scorn and ridicule. I was then offered a small, dirty backer backers' room without window or running water. Please don't try this accommodation.
