We stayed for 4 nights in May in room 326, which was on the 3rd floor and at the other end from the bus stop. We had a view from our balcony down Cavenagh Street towards the city. The room was very clean with all you could want from a 1 bedroom suite. The kitchen facilities were fine and the living area comfortable except for the dining table which needed to be seen to, but was OK for our purposes. The bus stop could be a problem if you were in a room near it , but for us it was great to walk outside the hotel, and there was the bus stop (free travel for people with a Seniors Card). The Indian Restaurant downstairs was very good except they don't advertise that they are BYO (luckily we had a bottle of red in our room). We paid $556 for 4 nights which was about right. It's 3 1/2 star rating and that's spot on.

First impressions the hotel was in a OK position in the city of Darwin, we stay there for approx 8 weeks!
We stayed on the 1st floor and right above the bus stop, management forget to advise of the noise and carry on from the locals at the bus stop from 5am- until bascally 3-4am next morning.
Sit out on your balcony get harrassed, watch locals spew, full on fight, take a poo in full view of you, Its very noisy and privacy is a issue. Air con leaks copious amounts of water, there is a excessive amount of mould in the shower and toilet & throughout the building.
The carpark isnt secure the locals sleep near your car/s and spew in the car area, there is low income housing in the back they jump the fence, so car & valuables at risk, carpark is a inpractical size compared to complex, not thought out OBVIOUSLY!
There is a rancid smell in the elevators, and heavy calcuim staining, poor cleaning?
The management clearly need to work on english speaking skills and being polite they are very unhelpful and rude.
The owner lives on the top floor, he is horribly aggressive and verbally assaults women, this hotel leases the building during the slack season, so if you give the old man money ie BOND, trust us you wont get it back. He breaks leases agreements according to his mood and rips people OFF!
So yes we advise you walk up furthur or over the next couple of streets and pay for quality, you sure wont get it from there.

Upon arrival at the apartments we enquired as to how we access the free gym that was advertised on WOTIF.com. We we're told that it was not available for the entire stay but we were to recieve 1 free voucher. As many hotels were a similar price our choice to stay here was totally based on the gym offered. The manager in a very patrionising and arrogant tone explained to us that she was trying to run a business, that it was wet season rates and that we should be lucky to get anything! Her outbursts were totally unprovoked and she even tried to discredit our story of other hotels we had considered at the same price, UNBELIEVABLE!!
We were simply trying to explain that if you advertise a facility it should be available as offered. Now, looking at other posts I can see that her very aggressive demeanor is most likely brought on by the countless other complaints. All this could have been avoided and understood with some decent customer service. EXTRAORDINARY!

The rooms are in need of refurbishment - toilet smelt of dampness. The design of the rooms are very poor, especially if there is a 3rd person as the bathroom is in the main bedroom but has no wall separating it - so, no privacy. The management was at times very rude and obviously reluctant to spend any money. Our kettle was not working appropriately - he said "there is nothing wrong with it". The only positive was the swimming pool - very nice. It is a little too far from the water front precinct and main shopping mall and from the main eateries (if you are on foot) - remembering it is hot in Darwin.
