“Personalised and informative”

We really enjoyed this tour, the skipper was a Darwin local who really knew the harbour and its history. He took time to answer our questions, and even took us out of his way to show us a boat that was coming in. We loved the fast ride between sites, (there was a little bit of seaspray every now and then, but that added to the experience) and it was great to cover so much water and places on the one tour. Not much wildlife around that day, but the sea was a bit choppy so didnt expect too much. Would go again just for the boat ride.

“Great trip on Darwin Harbour”

We spent a fantastic hour on Darwin Harbour with Jim and Sam. Jim gave a great presentation and orientation to the harbour. We travelled up a creek to view mangroves, a crocodile trap and a shipwreck. Highly recommended.

“Great value experience”

Did the one hour history tour along the waterfront. Really good value, informative experience and presented by a guide with a lot of local knowledge and a passion for history. Would highly recommend for those who are interested in the war history, and even those who just want to get out on the water. $35 well spent.

Thankyou to you Fiona and your partner for the two recent reviews. When I read the update from Trip Advisor on my phone, we had just completed another Sunset Dreaming last night, being the only tour operator out on the harbour! - fantastic sunset by the way. Earlier in the day we also had run the 'Australia's Frontline' tour which covers our maritime WWII history. It continues to surprise me how few Australians know so little about our war history in Darwin and Australia and the fact that today it is still 'The Frontline' with all of the defence and customs activity here.

Back to the Sunset Dreaming and our star guide 'Roque', - one of our guests asked him about christmas with his family; his reply was that with 6 brothers, 7 sisters, 37 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews, his mum and all of the partners that it is a huge party!

Thanks again for your time to write a review, except for our turtle product, we operate year round so if you come back to Darwin we would love to take you out on the water again. -We look after repeat customers.

“Roque rocks and so does the cruise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

Jim and Roque are lovely guys. We left from Stokes Hill Wharf headed to Cullen Bay - on the way we found the local Government Croc catchers stranded midway when their motor/gear box failed. The guys had to tie them on and tow then in to their own wharf before heading off to Cullen Bay to pick up some more guests. Just all in a days work - No Trouble = NT! The cruise was brilliant, we headed off to a little island and learnt how to make string and then throw spears and woomera's then were serenaded by the didgeredoo on the way home. Would highly reccomend this to anyone. Met someone last night who had done their turtle tracks one and now have it on my To Do list.

“unbelievable environmental experience with true darwin locals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

was not sure what to expect when i boarded tha Snub Fin but skipper Jim made us feel at home with his territory wit and knowledge of the harbour, however he was outclassed by deckhand " Roque" a local indigenous Larrakia man who was at home in the mangrove creeks and he spotted dolphins rounding up mullet while a sea eagle swooped down for his catch, caught mud crabs which he was told us he would take home to make chilli crab and shared other recipes for fish, geese and other foods the coastal people have lived on for centuries, this was a very enjoyable environmental double act and well worth the trip, a ridgy didge territory experience
