“A great Place to stay in Alice Springs with amazing Hosts”

People make places and experiences and Kathy and Karl are both amazing friendly hosts who make you feel like a family friend from the moment you meet them.
We had a series of emails before we arrived and kathy answered every one promptly and with excellent information. She was waiting for us at the airport with a trolley for our luggage and bought us back to her lovely home and we immediately felt at home.
The B&B is situated a bit out of the centre, but it is an easy 25 minute walk during the day (probably not a good idea at night) Kathy is very knowledgeable and will help you plan any trips and advise you about local attractions.
We had a lovely room with a shared bathroom & toilet opposite with a great breakfast. Kathy even offers lifts into the town, if she is able which is really useful. We felt at home and enjoyed spending time with Kathy & Karl, chatting and relaxing in their lovely garden and swimming in their pool.
If you are planning on visiting Alice Springs I don't think you will find a better place to stay,or be made to feel more welcome with amazing hospitality.
We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
Thanks once again. You are both great.

“A great B & B with lots of local knowledge”

Kathy gave us great local advice. The room was as comfortable any in 40 days of travelling in Australia.. It was one of the few (only) places that we stayed that had the tools available to completely open up my newly trashed wheeled luggage and re rivet it so that it made it back to Canada via Melbourne,Tasmania, Sydney, the Indaian Pacific and Hong Kong.
Kathy will happily arrange to pick you up but a a car and satellite navigation system makes getting around much quicker.
They"ll take good care of you.

Room Tip: Alice Springs apparently has a number of issues with swarming insects. Kathy's place was NOT in...

“Great place to stay”

Kathy went out of her way to help me when other accommodation was not up to scratch. I was even collected at 9pm at night and driven back to town the next day.
I was made to feel very welcome in a lovely clean, homely setting. Wonderful cooked breakfasts to help me on my way each morning too. Thanks Kathy for a great stay. 100% recommend when you are staying in Alice Springs.

Kathy and Karl are very hospitable. Give good advice on local places to visit.
Kathy makes very nice breakfast with eggs from their own chickens.
Definitely would recommend this place to friends.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and we were able to help you in your choices of attractions and places to visit in and around Alice Springs.
Our girls do a splendid job of providing fresh eggs each morning and this adds to a hearty breakfast.

“A nice homely stay, and great service”

We are a family from Namibia and spent two nights in Alice Springs during May 2011. We arrived in Alice Spring after sleeping in a camper for more than a week - so were due for a clean up and a good feed. Kathy and Karl were marvelous hosts - very helpful with travel tips (clearly have lots of local knowlege of what to do in the area). One evening Kathy took us to see the Agile Wallabies come down to feed in a local park - lovely experience that thrilled our daughter. We would highly recommend Kathy's Place for families.
