I was really surprised in a good way by this Art Deco downtown gem. First of all the architecture is really stunning if you like this period as much as I do. This was originally an office building and only fairly recently converted to a hotel. The breakfast upstairs is fabulous. The british style pub on the first floor is a great spot for a night cap. The fitness room and pool is a bit sparse (OK, really sparse) but put on your shoes and go for a run or walk outside in the Botanical Garden. I hosted a 70 person conference here and was very pleased with the facilities. I'd host a business meeting here again, or would recommend it for a holiday stay in the center city as well.

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. My room was well appointed. and as it faced the inner courtyard nice and quiet.

This was our 3rd stay at the Grace Hotel on York Street Sydney. We like the central location of the hotel being minutes from the Pitt St Mall and just a 15 minute walk to Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. Rooms are fresh and comfortable with King size bed, nice bathroom and flat screen TV. The period decor in this nicely preserved Art Deco building is to our liking. The history of the old building is set out on the wall as you enter the lift lobby off the main entry....well worth taking a few minutes to read it and soak up the experience. Staff are friendly and the Concierge is always up for a chat and ever ready with useful tips on what to see and how to get there. Breakfast in the Brasserie is quite reasonably priced (AUD$18 for full English hot breakfast) and service is very good. Not much of a view from the rooms in this part of the city, however, the comfort and convenience factors coupled with a reasonable room tariff (we paid $207 / night) make this a great place to stay right in the heart of town.

Beautiful historic building located close and walking distance to everything required. Cafes, pubs,clubs,shops,harbour and lots more. Hotel itself had lots of facilities such as restaurant/caffe, Irish pub, shopping, pool/spa/gym even though a little small still enjoyable. Sun deck was great with wide views. Staff and service fantastic and friendly. Will stay here again. Being able to walk to Darling Harbour/High end shopping/Train terminal is a bonus.
