The hotel is located in a great part of town. We had excellent views from our high floor room. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Superbly comfortable beds and great service by a well trained attentive staff.

This large high-rise hotel is located in the heart of the Rocks and Circular Quay. We chose a room on the 29th floor with a view of the harbor, which was outstanding. The room was large, clean and the staff attentive, but the bed was very uncomfortable (a "King" was really two twin badly-worn mattresses). Although the room was cool, the halls were very warm and humid. The buffet breakfast was crowded and very loud. A OK place to stay in the Sydney, but it is not very highly recommended.

The only hotel you should consider in Sydney. It is a 5-star experience in every aspect, from the room and staff to its proximity to the harbor and The Rocks.

As the title implies- it's ok.
Compared to other Shangri-la properties; it's in need of a bit of an update.
I personally think you can get alot more for your money. For instance the Quay West next door- the Quay Grand up the road or even the Four Seasons has a bit of an edge on this property. The rooms I found a little dated and extremely basic overall.
All this said; I found the service polite and helpful. I thought the Grand Ballroom a little eerie but the Horizon Bar is Spectacular!!!
It's good...but in my opinion, it needs some work.
