The hotel lobby is uninviting. The hotel looks old. The reception staff including the manager clearly doesn't know what good customer service is. The room had paint falling off the ceiling. Poor airconditioning. And the WORST part is, they were charging is they were charging us for 2 fruit juices and pringles from the mini bar that we didn't even consume!! When we told the manager, he wasn't really impressed on us saying we didn't touch the mini bar at all. I swear im not coming back to this hotel ever again. Sydney has a lot of much better hotels worth the money. If you want a hotel near hyde park, there's hyde park inn, metro hotel or hilton.. Completely ruined me and my husband's wedding anniversary celebration.. Maybe if they change their staff that served us during our stay, it would be better

My review's title sums it up: nothing to fault with this hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again ( in fact, I stayed twice in Jan).

Ok so being in a long distant relationship i thought i would stay somewhere nice in town.
Being a local sydney boy it was good to be a tourist in my own city.
The Marriot is Nice and neat, very clean.
The King bed was spacious and comfortable.
The price tag hurt a little for the overnight, however i was not on any particular budget.
The breakfast was beautiful, full selection.
The staff were proffessional and happy.
Would stay here again for sure

We had a great stay at this hotel. Rooms are nice with comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent hotel for children. The only complaint was the food from room service which was the worst we've ever seen in a hotel like this.
