We stayed on the 8th fl - paid extra for sea views. We could only just see the sea. I thought it was quite expensive for what we got. The lower floors are significantly cheaper. I think if I were to go again I would ask for the higher floors to get the sensational views others are talking about. The apartment was clean and modern. We had no problems with the staff who were very friendly to us. The actual block is an older block, not really resort like, the pool did not look appealing enough to me to venture into it. But the beach is directly across the road. Good shopping centre a short drive away. Would stay again.

Firstly I must say that the apartment was enormous and the views sensational, the pool was excellent and location opposite the beach great. However the management should be renamed Basil & Cybil as in the comedy Fawlty Towers! We tried to raise a smile as we passed through reception - and not only did we not get one but the man looked away. They are definitely in the wrong profession. We stayed there about 5 years ago and the staff were sensational. Suggest they either learn how to make people feel welcome or find another job!

The higher level ocean view apartments are spectacular, especially with balconies. However the reception lady, Sharon, is totally unsuited for hospitality as she is not friendly or willing to help at all.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment over the June long weekend. We had 2 families staying and there was plenty of room to not get under each others feet. We had 2 boys playing soccer in Coffs for the State Cup and due to the torrential rain had to keep coming back to the apartment to wash and dry off their clothes. This was made easy by the washer, dryer and drying racks. Plenty of crockery and cutlery I had brought extra cutlery because some places are lacking, but I didnt need it. The kids loved the Austar and were sad they coudlnt use the pool and spa due to the weather (they will next time!) The lady in the Reception area was very friendly and helpful. We are planning to stay there again for the next soccer tournament. Thanks!!!
