Stayed recently as it was the only accomodation left on our drive up to Byron Bay. Hotel is motel like and the furnishings are tatty and old fashioned. Lighting comes from overhead low energy lights an kitchen badly designed and old.

The smell in the room is of cheap air freshner which makes you wonder what they are trying to cover up.

The beachfront is pointless as the beach is really unsuitable for swimming and the internet is expensive and unusably slow. And for the price we paid it represented a total rip off.

Finally the room had so many rules and penalties I don't knew what sort of people normally stay there. Checkout at 930 with penalties of you are late is pretty inhospitable.

My tip. Keep driving to Byron Bay as Coffs harbour is pretty tacky also.

We've been at smugglers on the beach at Christmas time with some friend and our children's.This place is perfect for a holiday.It is located in a very quite and clean area with the beach near by.We booked just for 3 nights but after I arrived there I just felt that I want to stay longer.Very cosy and friendly atmosphere.Everything was perfect; the staff,the apartment.definitely we recommend this place and we'll come back with the next occasion.

Had a great time at Smugglers, the location was excellent, the unit was as expected and the staff were really friendly. Unlike some other places we have stayed in coffs, Smugglers was exactly like the website says. Highly recommended to families looking for a relaxing stay in Coffs.

Smugglers is a brilliant place and the beach and surrounds are lovely. Our expectations were exceeded and I would highly recommend it to anyone and I know we will definitely return.
The accomodation was perfect as we could cook some of our own meals which helps keep costs down when you have kids. We loved the location just being out of Coffs but still in reach of everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think I want to buy an apartment there I loved it that much. :)
