Canberra has very few venues facing the lake, this is one of the few. It has a spacious outdoor terrace on the grounds of the National Library. A good option during the day, gets very busy at lunchtime and you may have to wait to get a table. Indoor seating is cafe-style, with free wifi and a good selection of Australian newspapers (international papers are not easily found in Canberra). Food selection is limited and changes on a daily basis, but good quality. In the basement of the National Library is sister establishment Paperplate with a selection of salads, sandwiches and pies, more of a takeaway though seating is available.
