I had to stay here for the most part of two months during summer. Between all of the traffic noise from the two major roads outside and the extractor fan in the kitchenette (think of the one in your kitchen on full power with no possibility to turn it off) sleep was in short supply! The room itself was OK - clean but very dormitory like and, at least in the best of the rooms I got, with a great view of the power towers (if you like that sort of thing, which I don't, but better than the next door apartment block). Didn't take breakfast but it looked expensive for what it was. Plus points: the staff was friendly and helpful, the internet was mostly reliable, restaurant was (just) OK, with enormous pizzas, and Jumbo (shopping mall) is only 10 minutes walk away - OK in summer at least. Conclusion: I have told my employer that I will not return to Vantaa unless I can stay somewhere else.

I spent 2 nights at Bonus Inn hotel. It's not so far from Helsinki airport, 8 floors and nice rooms. It's a normal design hotel, just enogh for business trips or quick visit to Helsinki. The reception area is anonymous and absolutely not fashion. There's a restaurant, international food and few finnish dishes. Rooms are quite good, very clean and confortable bed. Internet connection (not high speed) is free. Breakfast could be better but anyway enough.

It's been a while since I have written a review, and normally I get motivated to write one if I am either very happy or very dissatisfied with a place. In this case it is the later, so I thought I better warn my fellow travellers.
In short: this hotel would probably be withing a short list of 5 worst hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot...
Why?
1. The room: Apart from the fact that it feels rather like a youth hostel than a hotel room for 100 Euro a night, it looks rather dated and used, there are no amenities in the bathroom (not even a shampoo), but what really killed it for me: The fan of the aircondition (which you cannot turn off) in the room was about as loud - if not louder - as you usually get as a fan/extractor in a toilet. So next time you find yourself in a bathroom with that loud noise, imagine sleeping there and you get a good idea of the 'Bonus Inn'. I only stayed there for some 7 hours before catching another flight but this really spoiled my night.
2. The reception/breakfast area: if you like the 70ies you might like it, otherwise.... breakfast itself was okish, but didn't look very fresh and I was frighten to touch half of the food, didn't want to risk a food poisoning at the beginning of a weeks business trip.
3. Location: Reason I picked this hotel was that it was supposed to be very close to the airport. It is not far away but I had to wait quite long for the shuttle bus and then it is still almost a 10 minute ride - so not really the point of staying at an 'airport hotel'.
In summary: Next time I have to say close to the airport, I'd rather spend a couple of Euros more (and it is not very much more anyway!) and stay at the Hilton directly at the airport.

Rooms are ok, really average and conventional. Old TV in the room I was given. Breakfast was pretty good.
