My husband and I stayed at the Kyriad and found it comfortable and clean and value for money. It was close to my husband's workplace but is not close to the centre of the city (which has such a great vibe with its fun pubs on Rue St. Malo and Rue St. Michel, and the university students around-tres tres chic)but there is a bus No. 11(functioning upto 7.30 p.m.) that picks you up right outside the hotel, and drops you to the Train Stn. and also the Place de la Republique (from where all the fun city stuff is accessible by foot). One has to change buses but it's not complicated. The bus doesn't run on the weekends, though.
The hotel buffet breakfast is quite ordinary and just sufficient but highly unimaginative, but the rooms are clean, people are courteous and internet is very cheap by European Standards at 4 Euros for 6 hours. They have Wi-Fi but it just works in the lobby-they provide an internet cable for the rooms.
