We had read the excellent reviews of La Muscadelle and were, therefore, expecting a very high standard- and we got it. The welcome was warm and friendly and the little kindnesses shown were appreciated. Our room was comfortable and looked out over the garden that looked splendid. The attention to detail reflected Michael's training in the Royal Navy. This is the most comfortable Chambre dHote we have visited in France. Michael and Brenda are to be congratulated on all that they hav done to make La Muscadelle such a happy place to stay.

The welcome was warm with tea on the terrace with Brenda our host. Our room was perfect with doors to the garden & pool, tea & coffee with biscuits, bottled water,oscillating fan & spotlessly clean! The bed was very comfortable especially as we have dodgey backs. The pool was perfect bang in the middle of a vineyard with beautiful views of the chateau. We wanted a special place for dinner, Brenda's local knowledge was amazing, menus & prices!! Then we met Michael... Brendas' husband, an angel in this little piece of heaven nothing was too much trouble he took us to our restaurant and collected us!! Back at the house we had night caps on the terrace with them & other guests. Gorgoues breakfast, really hot tea!! Amazing time, a million thanks xxx

When you read the other reviews you will find the majority comment on how helpful and welcoming the hosts are, and they are not wrong. You couldn't find another owner who cares more about their guests stay than Michael and Brenda. They really can't do enough for you. Accommodation is great, with just three guest bedrooms but lots of space, you have the feeling of privacy but a chance to meet other travellers too. Each room has its own small patio area, the pool area is spacious with plenty of sun loungers to choose from. Breakfast offers everything you would want. The location is perfect for sight seeing the Dordogne. Superb value for money, would definitely recommend La Muscadelle.

What a lovely place to stay and a genuinely nice couple. Brenda and Michael made us feel so welcome throughout the whole holiday, so much so that we (including our teenagers) wanted to stay longer. We had a two centre holiday and Michael's extra french lessons at breakfast stood us in good stead for the second half ! Perfect location for a calm holiday.
