Helpful young man at front of house to provide maps and info. Pool not very appealing. Breakfast at Carrefour across the road for €10 for 4 of us, compared to €14 each at the hotel!

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our honeymoon. We were making our way back to Paris from Italy that morning. We stopped to watch the Tour de France near Briancon that afternoon and then drove to this hotel so we pretty much only ate in the restaurant and went to bed. The restaurant food was really good and the room was very modern. I liked the room for the fact that the toilet was separate from the washroom. The bed was comfortable and check in/out was a breeze. The hotel is right near the highway so it was easy to get to. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights in May as a stop-over to and from Italy with our one year old child. In particular we wanted the reliability of a Novotel and in his generally we were not disapointed.

The rooms were looking a little tired but were clean and the bed comfortable. A cot had been set up (without extra charge - as is the policy in Novotel) for our baby and we all had a good night's sleep.

The food was generally good, if fairly generic Novotel fare. The service, although formally polite, was, with two notable exceptions, dour and reluctant. We really felt staff morale was low and this would certainly have an increasingly negative factor if we had stayed for longer.

We did not try the pool, but everything there seemed clean and well- ordered, as were the grounds at the back, where our baby played.

The hotel is very conveniently situated for the motorway network,, and despite our concerns about the staff, we would stay there again for another brief break to a journey.
