My mother and I have stayed with the Tobins at Shannonside on at least 5 trips into Ireland over the past decade. They were our first exposure to Ireland over 10 years ago and definitely one of the reasons we love this beautiful country. We keep coming back as they are such lovely people. The location is great, the fact that they give us "our room" even though we're only able to stay with them every couple of years, and are always welcoming even though we show up early due to our overnight travel to the Ireland from the States.
We've never had a bad experience with them and enjoy talking with other travellers who are also attracted by this terrific B&B. Shannonside is the first place we stay when we arrive in Ireland and the last place we stay as we say goodbye (and begin saving up for our next bi-annual visit to the ole sod!). I can't recommend them enough for their hospitality.
Please understand this is not a hotel - it is someone's home that they are opening up to share with travellers looking for an authentic Irish experience.
