“not a great hotel”

stayed for 2 nights,on arrival we were met by friendly recepion staff. We went to our room and found there to be no power in the sockets, this was fixed and all was well as we thought. giving that we stayed in mid January with a 3 year old and a 6week old baby we found the room to be very cold, to the point where the baby couldnt sleep in the cot by her self, she slept in a single bed with my wife and yhe other little girl had to double up with me for warmth. The night porter supplied a electric heater on request as the heat ing was turned off all together at midnight and was not turned on again till 9 the following morning.Dated rooms with about 3 tv channels. Decent breakfast though. At 5 in the evening we were told we could order snacks as dinner didnt start till 6, all in all not great wont be staying again, still 180 euro for 2 nights with no mention of our discomfort on departure. poor, poor, poor.

Dear James k,

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your Sunday Lunch with us recently.

We at the Majestic Hotel only source the best of Irish Beef & I feel we offer great value for 3 courses plus Tea/coffee at €20.00 & children's meals from €5.95. We are constantly complimented on our value and quality of beef.

Apologies again.

“Request a Balcony Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

The balcony looks onto the boating lake across the road from the Hotel. In the background is the beautiful vista of magnificent Tramore Bay. Brownstown Head on the east with the Metal Man on the west. Great location for relaxing walks on the wonderful three miles of beach down to the Sandhills in the distance. Dining area in the hotel and the lounge are excellent. The main bar area opens onto a seating area (normally used by smokers).
