We got a great offer on this hotel for a nite we ungraded to a superior room for just 20euros extra(class) well worth the upgrade :) The hotel is around 3 miles outside letterkenny , the staff are very friendly and the food was lovely. The bed was just bliss the rooms very spacious and clean

Steak Steak Steak - the Silver Tassie offers the best Steak in the North West and possibly one of th every best in Ireland. Great flavour, coooked to perfection. Th elocals like it well done so be sure to insist on your own preference. The fillet is wonderful cooked Medium Rare and the Sirloin best rare to medium.
Go hungry and order the saute onions and mushrooms along with the homemade chips. Wine not cheap but the list is fine.
Very well run family business with friendly efficient cheerful local staff.

This is a lovely hotel. It is a bit outside of Letterkenny, so it is nice and quiet. I really liked the entrance/reception area, the wood beams and conservatory made it look very cozy.
The room was very spacious, well equipped and clean and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom also had a great size and was very clean.
Staff were very friendly. I already noticed that when I rang to make my reservation and there was no difference when I got there. Reception and restaurant staff were all lovely.
We had dinner in the restaurant with a large group. The service was great and the food delicious. There was a lot to choose from the menu. Breakfast was also very tasty.
Only stayed for 1 night, but really enjoyed it. Would definitely return.

My wife & I stayed here for a weekend & could not fault the place.

Rooms: Rooms were spacious, clean & well equipted. The beds were really comfortable. The bathroom had lots of hot water & a nice shower/bath so you could take your pick.

Staff: Again staff were really friendly, always willing to help & on hand to help.

Booking: Checking in & out was fast & friendly.

Eating: The food here was lovely. We had a meal the first night & it was delicius, just a nice amount of time between courses too.

Location: It is situated just outside Letterkenny town about 3-4 miles. Taxis can be called from reception if you fancy a tipple in town. there is also a great wee homely bar in the tassie.
Would I stay here again...sure I would.
