We stayed here last weekend it is a great hotel the old style family run just slightly in need of a hug but it does not take from the atmosphere of a under estimated venue.the food and portions are high quality and you will not get better staff are very friendly rooms very spacious and good solid rooms just two things but not to be critical I am against the one shower gel in the bath and one for the sink the supply of toiletries is a as much reflection of what a hotel values us the guest and for me its the first thing I check small minded maybe also the breakfast room is too cramped it is very similar the cooking are to the breakfast area on a train but it was a very good breakfast with top quality food well done yourhotel is lovely I like the feel about it like a Victorian lady very elegant. I will be back in summer to see it in better weather well done for not making it a faceless heartless members of a hotel chain.

We stayed here for one night, hotel is located outside galway city. Good carpark, bedroom was comfortable, warm and cleaned. Bathroom was clean. Food was lovely. Good choices. The staff were excellent, very helpful. I would stay here again.

Firstly, one of the non-smoking rooms we booked stank of stale smoke. Secondly the other room was located at the front of the hotel - which did not impact us in any way until 10pm when the drunken guests arrived for the 21st party which had commenced in the function room. There was a few hundred loud,rowdy guests entering the party and to our dismay this awful noise continued right through the night. It got progressively worse with time. To add to the " peaceful evening" the guests in the room across from ours were really disrespectful, shouting, swearing and continuosly banging on doors before they left to go out for the night and on return at 4am that night. We were awake pretty much all night so we most definitely wont be returning.

The Hotel and Spa is very nice, nice big rooms, comfy beds, good price, good location. But.... Be very careful with extras like breakfast, internet etc. I booked a double room and on arrival was offered breakfast at a cost of €7.50 per person. When I was charged €20 for 2 people I queried this charge and after a few exchanged mails was informed that I had (somehow) agreed to this €10 tariff and also was told what I had had for breakfast as seen on the security camera!?!?!?
So beware, but at the same time I paid €29.50 for a double room which was well worth it!
