“Felt like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

My wife and I spent 2 nights here in late September. The hostess, Maired, is a welcoming and warm person who shares her charming home with understated grace. The house is located a short drive to the east of Cashel on scenic country lane less than 7 minutes away. Located in the middle of a 300 acre sheep farm the nights are quiet and peacefull, especially with a fire in the sitting room. The breakfast choices ranged from hearty "Full Irish" to a lighter fruit tray. I know this review sounds over the top, but I would go back and take my 88 year old mother along as it felt like her home.

“lovely inn and host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

Our family enjoyed our 3 nights at Dualla House in a peaceful farm setting outside of Cashel. Maired was a warm host and my kids raved about the breakfast crepes, and she made the most delicious black currant and raspberry jams and scones. Beds were especially comfortable.

“Hated to leave!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

Welcoming ~ serene ~ comfortable ~ picturesque ~ and more! Mairead and Martin Power warmly welcome visitors to their beautiful home and working sheep farm. Although a bit of a drive outside of Cashel, it is well worth the beauty of the countryside to find it on the Dualla Road. And don't leave without buying some of Mairead's to-die-for homemade preserves!!!

Room Tip: We loved our room which overlooked the front of their home, but all the rooms seemed lovely.

“Great Stay in Cashel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

We spent a night at Dualla House during a car trip through Ireland in June 2011. The house was a bit hard to find (though admittedly we were using Google maps, not the owner's directions), but well worth the effort. The house is beautiful, the rooms are huge, and Mairead is a wonderful host. Fresh scones with clotted cream we had on arrival were the best we had in Ireland. I would happily stay here again!

“Absolutely wonderful”

Dualla House is a wonderful place to stay and it is also a wonderful experience. My husband, daughter and I showed up at Mairead's door without a reservation or even a phone call (we don't usually do this!) and yet she was very gracious and welcoming. The 200-year-old house itself is very beautiful and the rooms were charming, comfortable and very clean. We had a gorgeous view of the countryside toward the east and the beauty of the land sparks the imagination. We enjoyed chatting with Mairead's son about some aspects of raising sheep and also attempted to pet them. It was a treat to go to sleep looking at the stars and listening to the lambs in the distance. Breakfast was a feast with homemade jams, fruit, made to order hot food, and the most amazing scones. I wish we could have stayed longer.
