“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I brought a small group to this bed & breakfast for a night's stay. Laura and Brendon were wonderful hosts to my group of 10. The rooms are clean. the breakfast was good (eggs and salmon!). The location is one short block off the main road in Cashel; but we had nobody experience any road noise. The walk to the Rock of Cashel is about 5-10 minutes. We ate at Bailey's for dinner - another unexpected pleasure. I would recommend this to another group - be it 2 or 10 persons.

Room Tip: All rooms are in the upstairs portion of the house. All were reported to be good!

“Lovely, Historic B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

The Ashmore House was originally built for a 19th Century mayor of Cashel. It is aged, but comfortable. Breakfast was large and tasty. The Ashmore is within an easy walk to the Rock of Cashel and downtown for restaurants, pubs, shopping is only a few blocks away. Proprietors Brendan and Laura Ryan are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Great location

“Absolutely Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

We stayed there for one night in April 2011.
The host was wonderfull. Ever since the phone call I made to book the room, all through our stay and up to our departure.
The room was nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.

We definately recommend this B&B in central Cashel for anyone who wants to visit the Rock of Cashel!

“Friendly hosts but............”

Ashore House was our first stop on our recent 21 day tour of Ireland; we were happy to find off street parking for the car and happy that the house is so close to the town center.
The hosts were friendly and very welcoming as was their little dog, though I do question the fact that he roamed freely for those that have allergies.
Ashmore House shows it's age, faded but nevertheless comfortable......our room, which my husband and I agreed was average, overlooked the street and had a nice big window so it was bright and amazingly quiet; it was a bit small though and the bed soft for our liking. The door to the room had a feeble lock on it though I suppose safety wasn't an issue but it was a bit discomforting. The bathroom was small with a very small shower but both were clean.
My husband's breakfast was tasty but mine wasn't....I was presented a plate full of watery scrambled eggs with some palid smoked salmon on top and unfortunately, was not too impressed. Great Irish brown bread though.
So there were some positives, some negatives and those came even more to the forefront as we were exposed to our other B&B choices as we continued on our tour. The costs were generally within the same yet the following accommodation was far superior for the most part.

“Great old house, Friendly proprieters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2011

Stayed here by chance after passing on another BnB down the street. Brendon & Laura (and Tipsy) were very hospitable, Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The house dates from the 1740's, so rooms small, as to be expected. Still, very clean & comfy. Free parking is a plus, especially within walking distance of town center and the Rock. Be aware: They advertise that they accept credit cards, but charge extra for using one. :(
